The Los Angeles Times (Los Angeles, CA, USA)

3 August 1921

Founded in 1881, The Los Angeles Times was edited until 1917 by Harrison Gray Otis, who was succeeded by his son Harry Chandler and then, in 1944, by his grandson Norman Chandler. During a bitter labour dispute in 1910, the paper's offices were the target of a bombing that claimed 21 lives.
